Who we are
About Cindy Stephens
Cindy Stephens has always seen spaces differently.
Before most people notice a room's potential — or its problems — Cindy already has. She sees how a layout creates friction in the morning routine, how a cluttered entry affects the mood of an entire household, how a single design decision can make a home feel either restless or calm. That way of seeing isn't something she learned in a textbook. It's how she's always been wired.
She founded LB Hutton to bring that perspective to the people who need it most: families who feel overwhelmed by their own homes, homeowners standing at a turning point, and people who know their space isn't working but can't name exactly why.
Cindy's work spans spatial design, fine art, and strategic consulting — each rooted in the same belief that how a home is designed shapes how a life is lived. She works with a small number of clients at a time, intentionally, because this kind of work requires depth.
She is based in Oklahoma City.
About LB Hutton
Most people don't need a decorator. They need a space that works.
Cindy Stephens founded LB Hutton on a simple premise: the way a home is designed directly affects how you live, how you feel, and how you function every day. Not just how it looks — how it works. That distinction shapes everything about how she approaches design.
LB Hutton is a spatial design practice based in Oklahoma City, operating across three areas — Design, Art, and Consulting. Cindy works with busy families, people navigating life transitions, and homeowners who want more than aesthetics. She works with people who want a home that supports real life.
What she brings isn't a portfolio of trends. It's an ability to see what others miss — the layout inefficiencies, the invisible friction points, the spatial decisions that quietly make mornings harder or evenings calmer. Her process starts before a single piece of furniture moves, with the kind of thinking that makes the design work long after the project is done.
If you're overwhelmed by your home, standing at a turning point, or building something you want to get right — this practice was built for that.
Design shouldn't complicate your life. It should simplify it.
